DMGroup’s Academic-ROI Institute is an in-depth professional development program that builds your district team’s capacity to analyze and assess programs and initiatives to determine:

• Which students are benefiting most from a given program
• How cost-effective is each program

Who Should Enroll?

What is Academic-ROI?

DMGroup has developed an approach called Academic Return on Investment to measure the benefits (determined by student outcomes per student segment) and fully-loaded costs of individual programs.

Based on this data, the district can assess and compare programs and consider which to expand, maintain, target to specific segments of the student population, or sunset.

How the Program Works

  • Participation by district teams: Each district can enroll a team of up to eight participants to work collaboratively to improve the use of district resources.

  • Four-month training in multi-mode approach: Over four months, participants will learn DMGroup's 10-step Academic-ROI analysis process through remote group meetings, webinars, and self-use tools.

  • Learn by doing: Academic-ROI assessments are conducted by district teams with the support of our coaches to gain actionable insights into their own district's key programs or initiatives.

  • Peer network: At the Institute, participants have an opportunity to meet peers from other districts and provide each other energy and support as they learn together and collaborate.
