As Managing Director at DMGroup, Mark leads consulting projects across several practice areas including human capital, strategic budgeting, special education, and strategic planning, working closely with district leadership teams to implement best practices and drive improvement.

Having extensively researched, written about, and spoken at conferences on the topic, Mark is extremely knowledgeable about what works when it comes to building effective human capital management systems in school districts and is passionate about helping districts apply these insights.

Tess Nicholson

Director, DMGroup

Tess Nicholson brings to DMGroup a combination of human capital leadership and classroom teaching experience. As Client Services Director, Tess leads projects on a variety of topics including human capital management, special education, and elementary and secondary scheduling. On these projects, Tess works closely with district and school leaders to maximize resource allocation, operational efficiency, and student outcomes.

Previously, Tess worked for as a recruitment manager for Teach For America where she recruited, screened, interviewed, and hired teachers to teach in low-income, hard-to-staff areas across the country. Tess also taught 2nd and 3rd grade in East Harlem, New York and served as grade-level chair.
